The summery world of Grace and Flowers

Monday 06 July 2026

For floral designers, summer is often a season full of flowers and special moments. For Masterpieces ambassador Madita from Grace and Flowers, summer is all about romantic settings, fragrant flowers, and finding moments of calm between busy projects.

Madita is a creative florist with a refined, romantic style. With an eye for detail and a love of texture, she creates light, dreamy arrangements that elevate flowers into art. In this guest blog, she shares how she experiences summer, where she finds new energy, and which flowers she believes are essential in timeless, elegant designs.

TL;DR

  • For her, summer is all about beautiful weddings in Germany and Provence;

  • She enjoys the atmosphere of the season, as well as quiet moments in her own garden;

  • Despite the busy season, she consciously makes time for holidays and new inspiration;

  • Museums, exhibitions, and simple moments at home help her recharge;

  • English roses, scabiosa, sweet peas, and clematis are favourites in her work;

  • Fragrance plays an important role in her floral concepts.

What do you do in summer?

For Madita, summer is mainly about weddings at special locations. Many take place in Germany and Provence. She loves that variety and the unique atmosphere.

A moment of calm

Although summer is truly peak season for her because of all the weddings, she consciously chooses to make time for herself in between. A short holiday helps her step away from the busyness, find new inspiration, and spend valuable moments with her loved ones.

Madita: “Especially in such an intense season, I find it important to recharge in between.”

Finding new inspiration

She recharges in different ways. Sometimes by getting away for a while, sometimes by visiting exhibitions or museums. There, she often finds new impressions, colours, shapes, and ideas that later return in her work.

But inspiration does not always have to be grand for her. Simple moments are valuable too: doing nothing, relaxing, and enjoying the garden at home. The many beautiful flowers that bloom abundantly in her garden during summer always make her happy.

Christmas in summer

Atmosphere remains important to her outside the summer season too. And despite the busy wedding period and enjoying the beautiful weather, she is also already busy with Christmas. Especially in her private life. The anticipation begins in summer.

After all, you do not choose a four-metre-high Christmas tree at the last minute. It is selected months in advance. For her, Christmas has something truly special: an atmosphere she looks forward to every year.

“Christmas simply has something very special for me.”

Summer favourites

When it comes to flowers that she believes are essential, English roses are an absolute favourite. Scabiosa, sweet peas, and clematis are also among the quiet stars of her work.

Madita: “I find it especially important for my floral work to create not only a visual experience, but also a fragrance experience – because scents are often what stay with us the longest.”

Although trends continue to inspire her, she mainly chooses timeless elegance in her own work.
