With everlasting, FleuraMetz brings together various long-lasting floral concepts in one category, available to order just as easily as the fresh range.
At the same time, the growing interest in these products is sparking an interesting discussion within the floral industry. How important is it for a flower to be ‘real’? And when can an alternative actually be a valuable addition?
‘We live in a world of abundance. Everything is always available, often even in excess. At the same time, it is becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish between real and artificial, original and copy. Those are exactly the questions we wanted to translate into this exhibition. We deliberately worked with fresh flowers, handmade silk flowers, dried materials and a wide variety of decorative elements. The aim was never to mislead visitors, but to make them think.’
