How do you make a bowl of willow catkins?

The idea behind the creation

The base of this creation is a bowl made of willow catkins. The catkins protect the small flowers, just like a mother protects her child.

  • Pussywillow;

  • Gypsophila Zinzi Discovery;

  • Half styrofoam ball;

  • Lilac wood bowl;

  • Wax.

Technique:

  1. Attach the willow catkins with hot glue to half a styrofoam ball.

  2. Make the center waterproof with wax.

  3. Then add a small piece of floral foam and sand.

  4. Arrange the flowers in a rounded shape, at different heights and depths.

  5. Shape the lilac wood bowl by drilling and screwing.

How do you make a bowl of ironing beads?

The idea behind this creation

In the second creation, a bowl is made from ironing beads. The bowl radiates playfulness and carefreeness. The flowers enhance this feeling with color and shape.

The vase has the shape of a lotus. This symbolizes life and connection. Ideal as table decoration or a playful gift.

Technique:

  1. Melt the ironing beads on a baking tray with baking paper in the oven at 220°C (top and bottom heat).

  2. Shape the bowl over a dish.

  3. Seal the bowl so the wax does not leak.

  4. Make the bowl waterproof with wax.

  5. Finish with a selection of flowers.
