Summertime means full on wedding season. They come in different shapes and sizes but share one thing in common: eternal love! The happy couples of 2018 seem to be big fans of large centerpieces, especially candelabra arrangements. No matter the height or colour, they are elegant and abundant. Emily Alarcon tells us the details:
“Candelabras are very popular, they literarily transform the table setting and make lasting impressions on the wedding guests. We have moved away from the bohemian trend: now is the time for elegance and volume. The Classic Chic trend is back!”
Emily: “The options are endless: with or without candles, round or oval, extravagant or modest. You see a lot of requests for white and pastels nowadays, especially peach. Some couples dare to go next level and opt for brighter colours, such as purple, which is the Pantone colour for 2018.”
“Hydrangeas and roses are must-have flowers in candelabras, especially when paired with lisianthus or carnations. Hydrangeas are great value for money and is year round available. Roses – whether they’re spray roses or large headed roses – come in a wide variety of colours. These textures and fragrances are perfect for pairing with other flowers. Candelabras aren’t just wonderful centrepieces for round tables, they also look magnificent on long tables. Put one on the head table that was specially designed for the bride and groom.”
Emily shares another tip: “Seasonal flowers, such as lilies and peonies are great alternatives. These varieties make amazing summer arrangements and vary in texture and colour. Signature designs made easy!”
