DIY | Floral design for the younger consumer
Page 4 and 5 of the FleuraMetz Magazine featured a full spread of creative ideas with the powerful Rhodos. The readers with a sharp eye noticed that one of the bouquets was specifically designed for younger consumers. Want to give it a try? Follow below tips for a refreshing and trendy bouquet in just a matter of minutes.
The floral designer steered away from the traditional round hand tied. “The flowers are tied parallel with the stems kept tight together. The long, strong Rhodos stem is perfect for this technique. This hand tied method creates a modern bouquet that will appeal to younger consumers.”
Materials:
- Rosa Rhodos
- Olive branches
- Kalanchoe tomentosa (panda plant)
- Hessen
- Gold binding wire
Deliberate foliage choice
The choice for grey foliage, such as olive branches and Kalanchoe tomentosa was deliberate. This colour foliage enhances the unexpected look of the rose but keeps the bouquet surprisingly light. It perfectly fits the taste of this target group!
