Below a few practical tips:
- A good flat lay stands or falls with the right products. The focus is usually on one main product with other complementing materials.
- Choose a colour palette that suits the main product to tie the whole together.
- The background is also a determining factor for the final result. Think about its material and colour.
- Photograph products from directly above. Use a chair or ladder to get the desired result.
- Important: use enough overhead lighting so that you don’t have any shadows. Natural daylight usually gives the best result.
