Who is Frédéric Dupré?
Frédéric Dupré didn’t start out in the floral world. Initially a student in paleontology, he later turned to horticulture, and then to floral art, where he quickly found his path.
Coming from a family of gardeners, he has always had a strong connection to the plant world.
In just a few years, he became one of the most talented florists of his generation:
Best Apprentice of France (2003) :
Meilleur Ouvrier de France – Best Craftsman of France (2011)
Renowned floral design teacher in France and abroad
Former owner of two floral shops
Today, he devotes mots of his time to passing on floral know-how

“I decided to try working with flowers to complement my studies, and it was like a revelation!”
A Floral Style Between Precision and Freedom
Frédéric Dupré’s approach is marked by a subtle balance between architectural structure and natural movement.
He describes it himself as a “dialogue between control and letting go.”
His creations draw inspiration from botany, contemporary art, architecture, cuisine, and even industrial design, a rich blend that feeds a demanding creativity, all underpinned by a solid mastery of floral techniques.
At FleuraMetz, we support all our florists, just like Frédéric, in their creative work, and we proudly showcase them within our global community. A great opportunity to shine together.

Return to the Global Floristry Stage
From August 28 to 31, 2025, Frédéric Dupré will compete at the World Cup Floral Art in The Hague, Netherlands.
Ten years after his first participation (Berlin, 2015), he returns with renewed energy and a strong desire to share his experience.
More than just a competitor, he positions himself as an ambassador for French floral excellence, surrounded by a young team that he trains and supports.
A Commitment to Knowledge Sharing
For several years now, Frédéric has devoted a significant part of his activity to teaching floral design.
His method is structured, progressive, and accessible, with key focuses on:
Understanding form and volume
Color harmony
Technique as a tool for creativity
His goal: to help the new generation of florists develop their own style based on solid foundations.
“I’m not a captain, I’m more of the idea initiator. My team and I discuss how far we can push the concept. We share ideas, explore possibilities, anticipate challenges. Everyone has a voice, though I remain the final decision-maker. In our four-person team, we work as equals” Frédéric Dupré, in an interview with Thursd.
