A World-Class Chandelier

Dare to Dream. With this message, floral designer and Masterpieces ambassador Hanneke Frankema took the stage during the World Cup Floral Arts 2025. During her final show GROWTH, she demonstrated how an imposing chandelier was constructed. A creation that shows what floral art can be at the highest level.
Chandelier
The chandelier was a replica of the creation she also made during the Dutch National Championships. The installation, forming the base of the creation, is made of cardboard. It is lightweight, yet very strong. It consists of several pieces that fit together like a puzzle. This allows the installation to be reused multiple times. Reusing components is a characteristic aspect of Hanneke’s work.
More reusable elements were incorporated, such as cardboard components and gold-sprayed flowers and petals. Hanneke: “My eldest daughter said that if you place the petals this way, they look like a flower.” So we made a few, 800 in total.
