Celebrate winter!

Winter is coming, and there’s so much to look forward to! For florists looking for winter inspiration: this blog covers everything about seasonal flowers, weddings, and holidays.
In this blog, Lena Hartmann shows how she applies the series “A Life in Full Bloom” in her choice of flowers and colors. She connects this with nature in a Midsommar creation. Flowers once stood primarily for celebration and joy, but more and more they symbolize comfort and support.
With our series “A Life in Full Bloom” and the annual theme “Bound by Nature”, the three top-ranked participants of the Championship for Floral Art (DMF) in Berlin each received a trend within this theme for Masterpieces X Florieren!
This time, Lena Hartmann took up the challenge. Florist Lena placed second at the Championship for Floral Art (DMF) in Berlin. She even received a perfect score of 100 points for her bouquet! She not only has a passion for bouquets but also for color. Under the motto “Enjoy Life”, she created colorful and airy arrangements for our series: perfect for summer celebrations.

For her, color is a huge source of inspiration. Lena: “Isn’t it amazing what nature brings forth in terms of colors and combinations?” She beams when her chosen palette turns out exactly as she envisioned.
She also loves working with regional and seasonal flowers, though unfortunately that’s not always possible.
Her Midsommar creation is inspired by a summer Midsommar garden party. Her base: a tree trunk, with holes for transparent test tubes. This way, the flowers take all the spotlight. The creation is light, meadow-like, and relaxed: completely in harmony with nature.
She combines daisies and lady’s mantle with grasses and dried seed pods of wild carrot. Ideally, she would have made it entirely with regional flowers, but in May that wasn’t possible yet.
