SPOTTED | Tillandsia with a twist
This Tillandsia is a real eye-catcher. Tillandsia is also the genus name for air plants. Good news: this sensational product is directly available in the FleuraMetz web shop! Have you spotted them yet?
Low maintenance
This plant is extremely low-maintenance and especially suitable for people, who lack green fingers. The only requirements they have are water, light and air. They do not need any soil, which makes it a great product for florists to use. Below three care tips*:
- Water
Tillandsia get their nutrients from the air but still need water. Note: only very little is needed: a spray with a plant spray once or twice a week is all they need. Make sure that the plant does not stay wet for too long or it will start to rot. If the plant is sitting in a closed container, let it dry completely before placing it back. - Light
Like most plants, Tillandsia love light. However, they grow best in indirect sunlight. Too much and too bright light is not good for most variety air plants. It is also advisable to keep the plants away from direct sunlight after they have been sprayed: the water causes the foliage to burn. - Air
This may not come as a surprise but air plants need plenty of fresh air. Most Tillandsias grow on trees or rocks in nature. Therefore, it is better to place them outside if the weather is nice. This will make them last longer!
What do you think: hot or not? We love it! There are different varieties available in the web shop.
