FleuraMetz has two head offices in The Netherlands: FleuraMetz Aalsmeer and FleuraMetz Naaldwijk. In addition to our Cash & Carry facilities, we also have branches in Hannover (Germany), Hyères (France), Miami (Florida), Nantes (France), New York City (New York), Quito (Ecuador) and Sanremo (Italy).
CEO Frank Koenen is chairman of the group’s board of directors, which further consists of Financial Director (CFO) Casper de Groot and Commercial Directors Gerko Schortemeijer and Martin Vered.
Three geographically divided florist divisions
There are 3 geographically organised sales divisions concentrating on florists.
- Gerko Schortemeijer is commercial director for the division focusing on Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and The Netherlands.
- Marco Kouwenhoven is commercial director for the division focusing on France, Italy and Spain.
- Martin Vered is commercial director for the division serving Canada, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, UK and US.
Specialised business units for large accounts
Specialised business units serve large accounts, such as import companies, internet businesses, hotel chains, cruise companies, garden centers and fellow exporters.
Large flower customers in Europe are supplied by the department XL Flor under the management of Vincent Mostert.
Large plant customers in Europe are served from Naaldwijk by Export Plants under the management of Ard Wubben. This business unit also organises the purchasing and internal logistics of plants for the complete FleuraMetz group. Within the management team, Fred Stokdijk is responsible for operations, Jeroen Vijverberg for purchasing and Alex van Staalduinen for sales.
4-Attention is dedicated to sundries and packing materials. This Westland based company operates under the management of Pim van Kleef and Gijs Noort.
Large accounts in North America are served from Miami through our daughter company Pinnacle Flowers (www.pinnacleflowers.com). Contact persons here are Mike Anzalone and Ross Weisberg. Bas Kamp is in Australia the contact person and in Canada is this Ben Vellekoop.
For extraordinary jobs and global customers, our Flying Dutch Flowers department is at your disposal. Flying Dutch Flowers operates from Naaldwijk under the management of Andrew Visser.
Kurt Schrama is a business unit within FleuraMetz which specialises in bespoke work for large accounts in Europe and Asia.
The Dutch cut flower purchasing is led by purchasing director Danny van Bergen Henegouwen. Our branches in San Remo is managed by Hans Westerman. Manager FleuraMetz South America is Victor van Dijk, who operates from our branch in Quito. Roel Haenen is the first person to contact in Herongen.
Marketing & communications
The department Marketing & Commmunications is located in Naaldwijk and devided in three divisions: Operational Marketing (Claudia van Tol), Content (Ashley Alleman) and Corporate Communication (Kim Berns). Nancy van Kleef-van Duijvenbode leads the department and is also responsible for innovation and marketing strategy.
Casper de Groot is the responsible person for all financial, fiscal and legal businesses. He is assisted by his team: group controller Benno Hulshof and business controller Herman Raué. The administrative departments are based in Naaldwijk, Hannover, Aalsmeer, Nantes, Zürich, Lodz, Brno, Kopenhagen, New York and Toronto.
The European road transport department of FleuraMetz is led by Frans Berkhout. The Aalsmeer flower warehouse is overseen by Bart Melker. Dick Leussink is responsible for the warehouse in Naaldwijk. The plant department is overseen by Natasja van Kleef.
As manager Human Resources, Caroline van den Broek leads the HR departments in Aalsmeer, Hannover and Nantes.
Project organisation & information technology
Change processes at FleuraMetz are coordinated by the project bureau, led by Ivonne van Os. Primary help in IT is given by the IT Business Support department of Marc Weijers. Hardware, standard software and connections are managed by IT Infrastructure of manager Stefan Schmidt. Business specific applications are developed by the Application Management department of Vincent Zaal.
