Preferred Supplier Klaver Lily offers it all: beautifully large Orientals, the only grower of Calvados, and years of experience. The Dutch location is not the only one. Lydia Klaver, Financial Director: “We also have bulbs in the ground in Bordeaux (FR) and New Zealand (NZ). This allows us to deliver a high-quality product year-round.”

Her brother, Gert-Jan Klaver, is the General Director and personally visits each nursery several times a year. “There is a lot of travel involved, but this keeps communication direct and quality control strict.” Every week, the required bulbs are transported to North Holland, where they bloom into stunning lilies. You may recognize some varieties, such as Robina, Touchstone, and Santander.

Global Gap

Lydia: “We have been certified according to the Global GAP standard for years.” Gert-Jan: “Because we manage everything ourselves, from bulb to flower, we can monitor and control the entire process.” Buyer Wilco van Termeij appreciates this dedicated approach. “Sustainable cultivation requires a lot of discipline, and consumers increasingly recognize its value.”

Gert-Jan: “We test new varieties four times a year. Orientals come in white, pink, and some even lean towards red. But we always ask ourselves: is there a better one?”
