BEHIND THE SCENES | A day of flowers at FlowerTales
Every two months, FlowerTales launches a new set of packages and a new magazine. Before the fresh flowers are ready for sale, a lot of prepping needs to be done. The selection, the photoshoot, making of the designs…. Colleague Doris Jobst from Vienna was invited to help out for a day and shared her happy experience with us!
Fresh and stylish buying
“My name is Doris and I have been working for FleuraMetz for almost 18 months now. Before this job, I had my own flower shop in Vienna for 14 years. One thing’s for sure: flower are my true passion. Therefore, helping out making FlowerTales designs was just a treat! I love this young, fresh and stylish concept. This buying method is exactly what my customers need. It inspires them to beautiful creations.”
Working from mood boards
“Prior to my visit, I received the mood boards for the themes Umami and Urban Tane. It’s so cool to see the basis from where a package develops. Guided by these mood boards, I was allowed to work away. It was very exciting!”
Ideas full of flowers
“First I looked at all the materials, made a plan, selected the right products and slowly started designing. Once I’ve started and got a few tips, the ideas just kept coming! The packages were taking shape step by step and themed corners were created steadily. I secretly wanted to hear the feedback on my work!”

Buy yourself
“I loved to see all the preparation that is needed prior to a package. Bravo! So many people are involved in this process and I was allowed to be part of it for once. I am very curious to see what my customers are going to create with these packages! I would love to be part of this process again and to create more beautiful things!”
