The family business in Willich, Germany, has been run by Hans-Peter Heinen in the third generation since 2007. The company was founded in 1935 by Johann Heinen as a vegetable business. Peter and Anni Heinen took over the company in the second generation in 1967 and transitioned it to cut flowers.
From a small start at local weekly markets, Blumen Heinen has grown into a medium-sized business that has been selling its products primarily through the flower wholesale trade in Düsseldorf and at auctions in Herongen and the Netherlands for many years.

What is the secret behind this Preferred Supplier of summer flowers? "We let the plants grow at the pace of nature," says owner Hans-Peter of Blumen Heinen. The cultivation is done in a calm, natural manner. "The focus is not on producing quickly and hastily. The flowers are processed without damage. The plants are compact and well-colored in the way we cultivate them."
