At the moment I’m working at HBI as an Administrative Assistant Trainee. This training takes 3 years. The focus of my training is in accounting. I already take care of one branch myself, the ‘Hannover part’ of the daughter company FleuraMetz Herongen, do bookings and support my colleagues.
During my training I walk by all departments of the company, such as secretariat and HR. On both of these departments I was able to work along. To get an impression of the company I visited the FleuraMetz headquarters in Aalsmeer, and the auction which is located there. I will also work at our Cash & Carry in Erfurt.
There is always a lot to do at our department, that’s why it’s never boring. I get a lot of support from my colleagues and my educator Ralf. Everyone in the department is nice to me. When I have a question, I always get an immediate answer and when I don’t understand something, I get an explanation again with added information, so that I can understand it better.
In the beginning of my training I found it remarkable that there is a very informal culture in this company, especially in the contact with my manager. But after a while I must say that this makes the whole atmosphere and cooperation more relaxed.
