As Manager Internal Logistics I am responsible for all the production departments in Naaldwijk. It’s a versatile job, which includes keeping contact with colleagues from different departments and branches. It’s a job that involves dealing with personnel as well as product quality and associated costs. A combination with a high level of variation. There are also many occasions, which require a new set up and corresponding activities. It’s all this what makes each day different and challenging. Definitely a job that doesn’t get boring!
The logistical and production department includes both flowers and plants. This department exist of 5 subdivisions that work closely together. From beginning (incoming products) to end (expedition) and 3 more steps in the middle, division, separation and packing. Even the plant department has seen an increasing growth thanks to recent large account. In total there are 80 people who work in this department.
Sales calls about a delivery problem but doesn’t know where the error occurred. Check with different subdivisions for more information.
Planning for next week need to be made, which involves estimate volumes, confirm starting time and the number of temps needed.
