Opening 59th FleuraMetz Cash & Carry, Montreal

Despite the bitter cold weather, even by Canadian standards (-28 °C / -18°F), the opening of our newest branch in Montréal was a success. The team spent the last three days hard at work putting the finishing touches for the opening. There was a lot to do: installing new computers and putting up brighter lighting.

Normally the supply of import roses from Kenya are at full speed this time of year. Unfortunately, recent heavy rain has affected the availability. Majority of growers are experiencing problems with Botrytis*. As soon as the weather gods are in a better mood, we hope to delight you once again with our beauties from Kenya. *Fungus caused by Botrytis Cinerea is one the most occurring problems in horticulture. Botrytis tend to thrive on humidity and high temperatures.
