www.orchidsinfo.eu is the new platform for information and inspiration about pot orchids for both consumers and florists. The website connects Twitter users and Facebook users in five countries and aims to be the hotspot for both traders and consumers.

Lily campaign draws consumers to florist in June

With the 'Say it with lilies' campaign consumers are encouraged to buy lilies at their local florist in the month of June. After all this is the month with widest range in lilies. To make the event even more attractive Flower Council of Holland has come up with a campaign where consumers can win free lilies for a whole year.

Floriculture sector joins forces towards mainstream sustainability

The Floriculture Sustainability Initiative (FSI) is a unique international public private sector initiative that will be officially launched during the Floriade2012. With the support of a growing number of international organizations the initiative is currently being shaped with the aim to mainstream sustainability in the sector. Current founding participants are: ANCEF, BGI, BRO, EPHEA, Dutch Flower Group, Fair Flowers Fair Plants, FleuraMetz, FloraHolland, Florint, Hivos, LTO Noord Glaskracht, MPS, Pfitzer, Rainforest Rescue International, UnionFleurs, VGB, VSB and WWF Kenya.
